Newly opened to the public today it has a splash pad, two stages, and is an area to relax in. This new downtown attraction is found at 4th & Jackson.

Thick and green because all the water, while not standing in the open, absorbed into the soil. The draw collects water and is a bit of nature in a city scape.

Along University at Milkyway as I drove around for something to photograph I saw the steps in the mobile home area. Not spectacular but caught my eye and therefore captured because i could.

<08/07/2023] 08/09/2023 - Area of Mockingbird & Unviversity [08/10/2023>
I found this sessions initial targets walking along the other side of University on the 08/07/2023, walking is a good way to slow down and see the world in a new way. Walking along Univerisity this time I captured a few images and had some unexpected post processing discoveries.
These memorials along the road are not unusual but I saw this particular one of interest visually but there is a story behind this image. The new partner at Sonic, the corner I found these at, asked me if I knew the people who put them there. I didn't but they wanted to contact the family to work with them to establish a more permanent presence for this. Everything has a story.
Technically along University as I drove back home this caught my eye, turned around and got it before the car moved.

The area of 4th & Golder is where I explored and I used a 55mm to 210mm lens to take these, a new way to compose and select the scene is the bonus.

I had some time after 9pm and a target in mind for an after dark shot so I headed out. Along my way back from downtown Odessa along Grant I got a couple more pictures.

Before the evening trip out to Comanche Trail Park to chase the available light, I had made a trip to Memorial Garden Park as well. The first image was handheld and a bracketed shot so I feel lucky it worked out. The rest of the images are from a very overgrown bit of nature that I'm glad exist.

I started the session out past What-a-Burger on Andrews Hwy going toward 42nd at 4am in the morning. A few days out of not doing photography it was time well spent just to get out again. The afternoon had me at the grocery store and I found a few images here as well; however, dinner was a homemade pizza and the plans to capture said pizza worked out too. A truly random day of photography!
